Announcements

Welcome to my page. I teach Course 2 Physical Education periods 2,3 and 4. I also teach Weight Training and Conditioning 6th period. A copy of Course 2 and Course 3 outline can be printed out by clicking on "documents/forms" at the top of the page.

A given day in class goes a little bit like this...

I.) Warmup: Static Stretches or Dynamic warmup.

II.) Anaerobic workouts: Big lap breakdown, sprints, rowing intervals. Freshmen PE uses Aerobic workouts, sophomore PE uses Anaerobic workouts.

III.) Strength Training: Weight Room Green/Gold circuit, core strength, the notorious push-up and sit-up sequences, & plyometrics.

IV.) Sport unit: Team sports are the vehicle that is used to teach the standards for my classes. Freshmen PE  (course 1) uses individual and dual sports.

*A notebook and writing implement are required for class each day to record results, goals, critical elements for various skills, and notes on health and conditioning for performance.*

About Me

    This is my fifth year teaching in the Petaluma City School District. I compiled numerous schools ranging up and down the west coast to obtain my college education. SRJC, College of Marin, University of Oregon, University of Redlands, Sonoma State University and even a stint at Chico State University. I feel this has helped to enable me to be a well rounded individual. In my spare time I enjoy Camping, Wakeboarding, Snowboarding, & listening to all types of music.  I am Casa alum class of 1998.

    Other than teaching here at Casa I am also the Head Boys Basketball Coach, Head Frosh Football Coach, & Co-Athletic Director. The easiest way to get in touch with me is through email (jforni@pet.k12.ca.us).
