STUDENT NEWS - Returning Honor Society members meet today, Friday, September 3 in room E-3 to pick Homecoming representatives and elect officers. There will be donuts! Jesus Club meets today, Friday, September 3 at lunch in room I-2. New and returning Key Club members are invited to our weekly meetings on Tuesdays at lunch in room I-2. We have some great upcoming activities that we'd like you to be a part of. See you at our first meeting, Tuesday, September 7. If you and your club would like to participate in Homecoming events this year, your application must be turned into room E-11 with your float theme and name of club representative by Wednesday, September 8. Casa counselors wish to remind students: The last day to request schedule changes is today, Friday, September 3. Hand Washing: It's in your hands! It has been known for a very long time that hand washing is the most effective way to prevent the spread of infections and disease. As we come upon the cold and flu season, your best defense to prevent getting sick is to WASH YOUR HANDS! It's time to sign up for National Honor Society, Casa Grande honor Society, and the California Scholarship Federation! Students in grades 10-12 who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher may join the National Honor Society. Students in grades 10-12 who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and who are involved in a school club, sports, band, or other such activity are qualified to join the Casa Grande Honor Society. Students in grades 10-12 who have a GPA of 3.5 or higher may be qualified to join the California Scholarship Federation. A copy of the student's grade report or transcript must accompany each of the applications. Applications and transcripts may be picked up from Mrs. Wickenkamp in room E-3 during tutorial on A days. The dues for each club are $3.00 each semester. The deadline for all applications is September 30, 2010. No late applications will be accepted.
